Help Lead Summer Career Exploration Camps

Turn your summer into something extra meaningful. Our Dakota Dreams is looking for middle school teachers and school counselors to join our counselor and mentorship staff at one of our free, five-day summer career camps for incoming South Dakota 7th and 8th graders.

The camps are held at universities across the state, where students are immersed in a week of college life and explore career paths through classroom sessions, activities, tours of area businesses and more. In addition to supervising and mentoring students, camp counselors will help guide these immersive tours and support evening on-campus social activities.

As a camp counselor, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Earn up to $20/hour doing work you love
Get free on-campus housing and meals
Receive training before the session
Apply for dates and locations statewide at BHSU, DSU, NSU, SDSU and USD
Help connect students with career possibilities that could shape their future
