A simpler path from high school to college

Fast Track Admission reduces barriers to college admission by connecting eligible students with South Dakota's public universities earlier in their college planning journey.

Students can access Fast Track Admission through participating school districts or by expressing interest through the High School Dual Enrollment application.

What is Fast Track Admission?

Fast Track Admission helps eligible South Dakota students transition from high school to college by simplifying the admissions process.

Instead of completing a traditional college application, eligible students complete a brief activation process and can receive admission opportunities from participating South Dakota public universities.

 

How Students Participate

  1. Express interest in Fast Track Admission.

Students may receive an invitation through a participating school district or indicate interest through the SD public universities’ High School Dual Enrollment application.

  1. Choose participating universities.

  2. Complete the Fast Track activation form.

  3. Receive admission.

AVAILABLE  STATEWIDE THROUGH HSDE

Eligible juniors and seniors statewide can express interest in Fast Track Admission through the High School Dual Enrollment (HSDE) application.

Students select the participating South Dakota public universities they would like to consider and complete a brief Fast Track activation process. No traditional admission application is required.

Students can access Fast Track through HSDE regardless of whether their school district participates in the Fast Track pilot.
