If you've been accepted for the fall 2026 semester and are undecided about your decision to attend SDSU, don't miss this chance to finalize your decision to become a Jackrabbit! Jackrabbit Decision Day will be an unforgettable day filled with insights, inspiration and celebration! Visit with university leadership and get a glimpse into the values and vision that drive SDSU. Engage in dynamic classroom observations and tours, allowing you to witness the innovative and supportive academic environment that awaits you. You'll hear from individuals from across campus and the community, each sharing why South Dakota State and Brookings are an excellent choice for your next adventure. Cap off the day celebrating your declaration as the newest member of the Jackrabbits family with other future classmates! Our mascot Jack, The Pride of the Dakotas pep band and other special guests will be there to congratulate you! 9 a.m. Check-in Club 71 – Dana J. Dykhouse Football Stadium 9-9:15 a.m. Coffee, Carbs and Conversation Enjoy refreshments and one-on-one time with some of our campus leadership. 9:15-9:45 a.m. Welcome 10 a.m.-noon Students: Students will have opportunities within their academic areas such as classroom observations, facility tours, activities and panel discussions. Parents: 10 a.m. – Campus support panel 11 a.m. – Suggested activities or time on your own Noon-1 p.m. Lunch Meet back up with your family at one of our campus dining locations. A meal card will be provided. 1-2 p.m. Decision Day Celebration Hear from some special guests from across campus and the Brookings community. If you've decided to become a Jackrabbit, celebrate with Jack the Jackrabbit and other future classmates! 2-4 p.m. Build your afternoon experience based on your interests.

You’ll learn about academic programs, student activities, financial aid, housing and other aspects of college life at State. The program also includes a campus tour as well as academic appointments with department representatives from your chosen field(s) of study. Family members are also welcome! Our space is limited, so reserve your spot today. Junior Tech Day is a fun-filled, information-packed day that will help high school juniors jump-start their decision process and provide direction for their future. Students find out what a day in the life of a Lake Area Tech student is like by meeting instructors and current students, working in the labs, doing hands-on activities, and meeting new friends. Career exploration is the focus. Visitors then eat a free lunch and absorb some basic information on the admissions process, applying for financial aid and scholarships, locating housing, and more! Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.

Lake Area Technical College and the TechKnowledge Program are proud to announce 2026 TK Discovery Day for High School Senior, Juniors, and Sophomores interested in learning more about attending the TechKnowledge Program at LATC to become a John Deere Diesel Technician for Kibble Equipment. You’ll be in the classroom learning theory with the TK Instructors and then in the shop with the current TK Students as they work on Job Sheets. You will be paired up with a student for the morning classes and then have an opportunity to meet with the LATC Admission Team to learn more about LATC.
