Strive for an Advanced Honors Endorsement

In addition to the base requirements for the High School Diploma, students may earn advanced endorsements that are in alignment with the student’s personal learning plan. The Advanced Honors Endorsement aligns with high school curriculum that will best prepare you for success in college. This curriculum also fulfills eligibility requirements for the South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship, helping you earn up to $7,500 (over four years) for college.

The requirements beyond the base high school diploma requirements are in red text below.

By completing the Advanced Honors Endorsement, students also earn the designation of Regents’ Scholar. Regents’ Scholars are graduating South Dakota high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence in six content areas designed to provide the necessary skills for college and career readiness.
