Work-Based Learning Resources

Preparing students for life after high school takes more than textbooks—it takes experience. Work-based learning opportunities like internships, job shadows, and capstone projects give students a firsthand look at the world of work while helping them build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

Bring Learning to Life with WBL

Work-based learning (WBL) connects your students with real businesses where they can explore careers, build hands-on skills, and gain valuable industry experience. As an educator, you play a key role in guiding students through these opportunities by helping them connect classroom learning with real-world applications. WBL helps students grow their confidence, discover career paths, and prepare for life after graduation, whether they are headed to college, a career, or both. It also builds strong partnerships between schools and local industries, supporting the development of tomorrow’s workforce, your students.
