AGC of South Dakota Construction Camp

Intended Audience High School Students

Event Description

High School students have the opportunity to participate in our hands on Construction Camp. They will rotate between 6-8 stations and be fed pizza for lunch. They will learn about construction fields from experts in the industry along with educators. Examples of stations could be Heavy Equipment Operation, Welding, Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Civil Engineering, Survey, Architectural, Job Site Visit, etc. Location: Central States Fairgrounds Note: This is a 1-day camp and you can choose what day you go

Coyote Visit Day

Event Description

At Coyote Visit Day, you'll explore the numerous opportunities USD offers, including academic programs, clubs and organizations and our vibrant campus life. We believe you'll be impressed with what you find! The day is built with flexibility in mind, so you can choose the sessions that interest you most. Events run from 8:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with check-in starting at 8:15 a.m. on the second floor of the Muenster University Center (MUC). The first presentation kicks off at 9:00 a.m. in the MUC Ballroom. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., you’ll have opportunities to attend additional sessions, take a guided campus tour and enjoy lunch and an information fair. A full event schedule will be provided when you check in.

Little Explorers - Spooky Science

A little of this, a little of that. What creations can we mix in the vat? What can we mix in the cauldron to make different concoctions? Explore spooky chemistry. Little Explorers is a combination of our beloved Little Explorers Nature Preschool and the Itty Bitty Einsteins class model. Classes are geared toward explorers between the ages of 3-5 and their families. Explore the science of nature and the nature of science through hands-on experiences and STEM journals together. Fees must be paid at the front desk on the day of class. SDDC Member: FREE Nonmember: $4 per family group + general admission fees
