  • Taking the highest-level math attainable to you is highly recommended because it provides growth opportunities for future advancement.
  • Students aspiring to be secondary math or science teachers will need to take Calculus I (MATH 123) to satisfy degree requirements. For these students, either High School Dual Credit MATH 115, MATH 120 or MATH 123 shown above could be a good option in the junior or senior year; however, students must satisfy prerequisite coursework or place directly through placement testing to be eligible for these courses.
  • Students aspiring to be secondary teachers in the humanities or social sciences will take a minimum of Mathematical Reasoning (MATH 103) as part of their major requirements. Any of the HSDC options above would satisfy the math requirement for the degree program.
