Transcript Release Processes

Because transcripts include personal and academic information, South Dakota's public universities use secure transfer processes to keep student data private. For that reason, high schools are encouraged to follow the recommended process for submitting transcripts to universities governed by the South Dakota Board of Regents.

South Dakota Public Universities

Use the guidelines below to submit transcripts to South Dakota public universities governed by the SD Board of Regents: Black Hills State University, Dakota State University, Northern State University, South Dakota Mines, South Dakota State University, and University of South Dakota.

Release Through Infinite Campus

The South Dakota Board of Regents (SDBOR) has worked with Infinite Campus to simplify the way high schools release transcripts to its universities. This improved process allows counselors to easily share SDBOR-formatted and coded transcripts, leading to quicker student admissions and more efficient evaluation of scholarships. Submit the “SDBOR Formatted” transcript with a simple click of the button found on the Transcript Tab in Infinite Campus.

  1. Preview SDBOR Release: Displays a PDF copy of the SDBOR transcript.
  2. Release to SDBOR: Sends the transcript to all six SDBOR universities.

NEW: Add Immunizations to the Transcript

State law requires proof of immunization for students attending any SD public or private university, or a technical college. Since Infinite Campus gives high schools the ability to include immunizations on the transcript, help your graduates who are attending post-secondary education by adding them.

Release through other Methods

For schools that do not have Infinite Campus, the South Dakota Board of Regents requests that you submit transcripts through the secure form found in the below button. Do not email transcripts. Once received, centralized staff will provide the transcript to the public university selected by the student and/or use it for scholarship evaluation.
