This scholarship was established in 1997 by Viola Lingo Watson of Sioux Falls to honor her family, to benefit the community of Canton and to encourage young people to pursue higher education.

Eligibility:
- Scholarship may be awarded on Financial Need
- Canton High School graduating senior
- Top 50% of graduating Class
