Building Trades Scholarship

Established to benefit high school graduates, The Home Builders Care Foundation Building Trades Scholarships ($1,000) are given annually to those majoring in a home building related field of study. Students must have applied for acceptance into a technical college or university and reside within Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha or Turner counties

Wyatt Ammon Memorial Scholarship

This award benefits graduating seniors from Dell Rapids public or private high schools. Eligible applicants must plan to attend an accredited college, or vocational or technical school, and demonstrate originality and interest in seeking personal challenges. Applicants may also be evaluated according to special circumstances, motivation to pursue goals, and the inspiration for those goals.

Washington High Alumni Scholarship

Graduating seniors from Washington High School in Sioux Falls who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational or technical school can apply for this award. They must also demonstrate financial need, have maintained a “C” average or higher, and be committed to their educational goals.

 

Eligibility:

Applicants must be graduating seniors from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. Scholarship selection may be based on financial need and requires minimum high school GPA of 2.00 to qualify.

Viola Lingo Watson Scholarship

This scholarship is open to graduating seniors from Canton High School who plan to attend an accredited college or university, are in the upper 50% of their class, have actively participated in extra-curricular school activities, and have financial need.

SD Bankers Foundation Named Scholarships

The South Dakota Bankers Foundation annually offers five named scholarships awarded directly to students attending a South Dakota college who are pursuing a career in banking or finance. Applicants must be in their junior year, entering their senior year of college during the 2024-2025 school year. Please refer to your academic handbook if you need clarification for junior/senior credit qualifications.

Applicants must be graduating seniors of any high school program in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, or a graduating senior from a public high school program in Huron, South Dakota. Applicants must also plan to attend an accredited vocational or technical school and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. This scholarship is renewable.
