This scholarship was established in 2000 in memory of Jeremy Baum, who died July 25, 1999, by suicide. He was 20 years old. It remains a mystery why he chose to end his life, but through this scholarship, his family hopes to keep his dream of rising above adversity alive.

Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a graduating senior of a Dell Rapids high school who resides in Dell Rapids.
- Scholarship selection may be based on financial need.
