Grand Commandery Knights Templar of South Dakota Scholarship

The Hagan Scholarship

The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, workshops to learn important life skills not typically covered in the college curriculum, funds to purchase college essentials, an HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage, funds to study and travel abroad, and the opportunity to extend the Hagan Scholarship to obtain a graduate or professional degree.

Casey Kulm Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Casey Kulm Memorial Scholarship Fund was formed to honor Casey and to provide scholarships to individuals that are pursuing education/certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT) or paramedic. Applicant must be a US citizen and a resident of Brown, Edmonds, Faulk, Day, Spink, Marshall, or McPherson county in South Dakota. Applicant must be a student who is enrolled or is planning to enroll in a South Dakota EMT or paramedic program. Recipients must begin the educational program in the award year.

SDCA (South Dakota Corrections Association) Fallen Heroes Scholarship

College scholarship for someone majoring in the Corrections and/or related field. Eligibility requirements – enrollment in a college/university/technical institution, SD resident interested in corrections or human services field, involved in school or community activities, GPA, and need for award. All schools, but must be college, university, or technical college.

Wokini Scholarship

First-time, transfer and graduate students are all eligible for the Wokini Scholarship. Students must be tribally enrolled in a federally recognized tribe in the United States, including Alaskan Natives, and provide tribal enrollment documentation. This scholarship is open to all majors.

Southeast Tech Scholarships

Current and newly accepted students to Southeast Technical College are eligible for Southeast Tech Scholarships that are funded through the Southeast Technical College Foundation. These scholarships are funded by annual and endowed gifts. The scholarships typically range from $500‒$1,000, and each scholarship has unique eligibility criteria.

Army ROTC Scholarship

The Army ROTC Scholarship is open to students who are a U.S. Citizen between the ages of 17 and 26 and have earned a high school diploma or equivalent with at least a 2.5 GPA. Students must score a minimum of 1000 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required writing test scores). Applicants must meet certain physical standards and agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard). High School students before the start for their Senior year to middle of their Senior year should apply for the National 4 Year Army ROTC Scholarships. There may be other scholarship opportunities at the program level located in the post-secondary institution.

Applicants must be ages of 17 and 26 and agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard). Scholarship requires minimum ACT score of 19 and minimum high school and/or college GPA of 2.50 to qualify.

Ruby’s Rainbow Scholarship

Our goal is to help as many college students with Down syndrome as we possibly can to go for their dreams of higher education and independence!
Awarded $1000-$10,000Students must be at least 18 years old and have the desire and intent to enroll or continue in a post-secondary class or program that will enhance their life through employment skills, independent living or life skills, or interests in any other areas. Students must provide copies of high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., certificate of completion), high school transcript if graduating in the spring of this year, or proof of acceptance to or current enrollment in a post-secondary program. Individuals who have previously been awarded a Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship can apply for another scholarship as soon as the following year.
