Equality South Dakota’s Audacity Award

Equality South Dakota’s Audacity Award is a scholarship for 2SLGBTQ+ and allied students who have been engaging in community service and/or activism work that seeks to better the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ people in South Dakota. This award is available to high school seniors who are heading to college, university, or trade school as well as current college or trade school students in the state of South Dakota. Students of any field of study can apply and are available to those who will attend or are already enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school. One high school senior will be awarded a cash scholarship of $250 and one currently enrolled college student will be awarded a cash scholarship of $500.

Mines Merit Scholarship

The Mines Merit scholarship program acknowledges and rewards outstanding academic achievements among its recipients. To be eligible for these incoming freshman scholarships, prospective students must be accepted for admission to South Dakota Mines by January 1, 2025 as well as have a 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA from high school. Scholarship opens September 1, 2024.

Premier Equipment Scholarship

The Premier Equipment CNC Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship available to manufacturing and engineering students (or any student interested in pursuing a career in CNC machining or CNC programming). The Premier Equipment scholarship will help students reach their academic goals and train the next generation of engineers, CNC machinists and CNC programmers.

United States Army ROTC National 4 Year Scholarship

Army ROTC is a program that allows you to attend college and earn any degree while simultaneously completing requirements to commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. You can serve full time or part time in the Army as an Officer. You will earn a minor in Military Science along with the degree that you chose. Student elects how scholarship is paid out each term. Can be used with some other scholarships.

Paul Georgas Memorial Award

This award is a one-time $1000 award to one student based on academic merit, participation in extracurricular activities and community service, one letter of recommendation from one of the applicant’s current or former teachers, and a personal essay. Eligibility: To apply, the student must be a high school senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The recipient must demonstrate a desire to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education at a four-year South Dakota college or university following high school.

Gordon Ingwersen Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors from Doland High School are eligible for this award.
