Pouring concrete, flying drones and moving the earth with heavy equipment are some of the hands-on activities high school juniors and seniors participate in at Construction Camp. Spend the day, Sept. 17, 2025, learning about jobs in the construction industry and connecting with industry experts. Construction Camp is FREE!

During the Exploration Day session, participants may choose from the following activities:

Visit classes and labs in any of Mitchell Tech’s programs
Learn about financial aid opportunities
Attend a question and answer time

At the end of this Exploration Day event, there is a drawing for Mitchell Tech swag and other door prizes, including a $1,000 Mitchell Technical College scholarship.

During the Exploration Day session, participants may choose from the following activities:

Tech Camp is an opportunity for students and instructors to visit the programs at Mitchell Technical College and the “next steps” in career clusters of interest.

Senior State Leadership Camp: June 8th-13th, 2025 Storm Mountain Rapid City, SD Ages 13-18
South Dakota Farmers Union proudly offers agriculture, leadership, and cooperative education through our leadership camp!

Students from all over South Dakota will have the chance to learn from industry experts and field specialists, enhancing their understanding of agriculture and cooperatives while exploring the beauty of the Black Hills. Participants will enjoy exciting experiences such as Rushmore Tramway Adventures, hiking trails, and more!

Registration fees are $100 for SDFU Members and $135 for Non-Members. This fee covers lodging, meals, transportation, and tour activities.

*We do provide scholarships!
