During this fun, interactive day, you’ll also get an insider’s look at innovative technology and how that tech gets put to work in all DSU majors.

High school seniors who apply for admission while attending a Discover DSU Day get an access code to waive the application fee!
Discover the journey healthcare professionals take to specialize in fields like orthopedics, sports medicine, family medicine, physical therapy, and more. At this event, you’ll meet students and faculty from South Dakota Mines, connect with student organizations, and engage with a panel of expert providers. You’ll also get hands-on with live demos and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Monument Health Orthopedic & Specialty Hospital. It’s your chance to explore the pathways to a healthcare career up close.
These visitation days are fun-filled, information-packed, and help high school seniors decide the direction of their future. The day starts by allowing the students to fill the shoes of a Lake Area Tech student (we promise – no exams). Students find out what it’s like to attend class by getting into some great discussions with instructors and current students, working in the labs, and meeting new friends. Visitors then eat a free lunch and absorb information on the admissions process, applying for financial aid and scholarships, locating housing, and more! Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) Construction Career Camps promote careers in the construction industry. From welding to operating heavy machinery, from carpentry to civil engineering, students attending will explore the construction industry and get a hands-on experience for different construction industry career opportunities.
