Discover your place at Go To Mines. Join us for a personalized on-campus experience and get a glimpse of South Dakota Mines! During this event, you will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of student life, such as living on campus, career placement, and internships. You will also have the chance to participate in a live Q&A panel with some of our current students, interact with academic departments, representatives from Financial Aid and the Registrar’s offices, and explore our campus.

These free, five-day career exploration camps expose students to various career paths through fun, engaging and hands-on learning. Campers will spend time on university and technical college campuses and visit area businesses to see careers in action. Summer 2023 applications are now closed, but eligible students should watch for the application period in February-March 2024!

Explore different engineering and science degrees during this 4-day camp. Each day students will get a mini presentation on two different STEM fields with hands on activities. Each session is presented by prestigious faculty whose expertise gives campers a glimpse into STEM careers and gets them excited about their education.

This Saturday event gives seniors a glimpse of life as a Jackrabbit. Explore campus via tour a tour with an Admissions Ambassador, check out all of our academic majors, learn about the value of an SDSU education, and end the day at a Jacks football game!

FAFSA Simplification, which will be implemented with the 2024-25 FAFSA, is the first major redesign of the financial aid process in more than 40 years. Join us for Mapping Your Future’s Get ready for the big changes with the 2024-25 FAFSA webinar. We’ll discuss the upcoming changes to the FAFSA and what those changes may mean for financial aid offices, as well as for students and families. In addition, we’ll share ideas for promoting FAFSA completion.

Intended Audience: 9th-12th Graders
This one-day camp will provide hands-on learning in the areas of drones, coding, circuitry, 3D printing, robotics and more. Faculty and industry partners will be active in sharing knowledge, hands-on experiences and career advice. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the Lake Area Tech simulated drone racing league as well as receive The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) certificate. Lunch will be provided. Limited enrollment. (There is a small fee for this camp.)
