The Associated General Contractors (AGC) Construction Career Camps promote careers in the construction industry. From welding to operating heavy machinery, from carpentry to civil engineering, students attending will explore the construction industry and get a hands-on experience for different construction industry career opportunities.

Career Ready SD Summer Passport Series – DSU Cyber/Computer Science Department

Intended Audience: Teens and young adults ages 14-21

Learn more about Dakota State University’s computer science department with hands-on activity.

The South Dakota Department of Labor Career Ready Advisors have planned events for teens and young adults ages 14-21 to explore careers in their communities, engage with businesses and educators, and prepare for the world of work. Explore career fields including aviation, print, signage and media, cyber security, agronomy, law enforcement, building trades, and more! Business and college/university tours are also offered in some communities.  

SDSU Jackrabbit Engineering Day

Intended Audience: High school students interested in learning more about Engineering at SDSU

Students will be on campus for an immersive experience with all the programs in SDSU’s Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering (JJLCOE). Experiences will include the Engineering Expo, connecting with engineering faculty, students and industry partners, focused academic appointments, and tours of engineering facilities.

Yellow and Blue Discovery Day is a free Saturday event designed to give students a closer look at an academic program they are interested in while learning more about South Dakota State. This program is ideal for high school juniors exploring their academic options and seniors finalizing their college plans.
