This event includes a welding competition, written welding knowledge test, tours of two other manufacturing/technician programs of your choice and career opportunity networking with event sponsor companies. Prizes are awarded to top placers in both the advanced and beginner categories.

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System Explore Camp (SCRUBS)
SCRUBS Camp is a day of exploration is for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are curious about the healthcare industry and want to learn more. The first half of the camp will feature patient treatment processes in different departments of Prairie Lakes Healthcare System along with a tour. The second half of the camp will take place at Lake Area Technical College with a provided lunch and tour. The camp is limited to 60 students.

This fun-filled day is for students who wish to explore Build Dakota/Stretch the millions scholarship opportunities. This event is open to high school juniors, seniors, and nontraditional students. Learn how to earn a full ride Build Dakota Scholarship and connect with South Dakota employers supporting hands-on careers.
AGC Construction Camp
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) Construction Career Camps promote careers in the construction industry. From welding to operating heavy machinery, from carpentry to civil engineering, students attending will explore the construction industry and get a hands-on experience for different construction industry career opportunities.
AGC of South Dakota Construction Camp
High School students have the opportunity to participate in our hands on Construction Camp. They will rotate between 6-8 stations and be fed pizza for lunch. They will learn about construction fields from experts in the industry along with educators. Examples of stations could be Heavy Equipment Operation, Welding, Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Civil Engineering, Survey, Architectural, Job Site Visit, etc. This event is held on the Mitchell Technical College Campus.
