HOW IT WORKS
The program offers one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions using an online platform seven days a week, excluding holidays. Supporting individual student learning needs, tutors help with homework, specific subjects, and broader educational concepts.
All of our online tutors are current School of Education university students at Northern State University or Black Hills State University.
Sessions can be pre-scheduled with a tutor at a set time to ensure help when needed. On-demand sessions are also available dependent on tutor availability.

HELP US PROMOTE THE PROGRAM
South Dakota’s K–12 schools, libraries and student programs play an important part in communicating this opportunity with students and their families. To help promote the program, a free marketing tool kit has been developed, including a handout, email and social posts. Please click below to download your tool kit.
In addition to educators, after-school programs and libraries are invited to promote the program to students and their families and provide an environment where students can engage in online tutoring during the school year (i.e., use local computers and personnel support for technology).
